 NEMC recently announced its new Platinum Plan Plus program whereby a dealer
can earn up to 40% commission as an Affiliate of NEMC. This revolutionary program, another
first in the industry, enables an Affiliate to start with the base commission rate and as
the Affiliate's musical instrument rental program grows, the rate of commission increases.
In this new program, the Affiliate has the potential of earning up to 40% commission and
commission rate increases are retroactive back to the beginning of the plan year. Under
this program, the Affiliate has the control of how high a commission rate can be earned,
with a possible top rate of 40%.
A dealer on maximum commission rate (40%) or even less is hard pressed to make this kind
of return running his or her own rental program. Add to the fact that NEMC will buy a new
dealer's present rental inventory for 100 cents on the dollar, thereby generating needed
capital for faster turnover retail business, the NEMC rental program eliminates burdens
faced by the local dealer in running a rental program. The NEMC program eliminates burdens
such as the cash flow deficit inherent in the rental business; costly bookkeeping and
billing procedures; the time and parts necessary to perform repairs of rental instruments;
the ongoing and expensive legal filing, licensing and compliance review costs involved
with offering rent to own agreements to the public; and the ongoing legal costs necessary
to keep up with the complicated and ever changing State and Federal laws governing
consumer agreements.
NEMC challenges the dealer who desires to offer a high quality and profitable rental
program to ask yourself: Can I afford the high cost of operating a rental program on my
own? Can I afford the capitalization of inventory; the time and expense of bookkeeping,
billing, and collections; the time to repair inventory and the high cost of parts and
tools? Can I afford and am I able to assure my legal compliance with State and Federal
laws regulating rent to own agreements to protect my business? Can I afford not to be an
